Overview
Pick a terrorist organization and provide background information, a history of the organization, any known leader(s), the hierarchy and structure of the organization, their known area of operations, any known acts they have committed (bombings, hijackings etc), and any known operatives from the organization who have either been apprehended, and/or identified.

For my final project, I plan to focus on the 1987 bombing of Korean Air Flight 858. This attack was carried out by two North Korean intelligence agents who planted an explosive device on a civilian airliner, killing all 115 people on board. I chose this case because it fits my definition of terrorism: an organized group,in this case, a state agency,deliberately creating chaos and targeting society to achieve a political goal. North Korea’s intention was to disrupt the upcoming 1988 Seoul Olympics and spread fear throughout South Korea.
