This final work aims to demonstrate your knowledge of the material, to exercise your ability to introduce it intelligently, to write an academic policy document about it, to exercise judgment, and, if possible, to exhibit creativity and original thinking.
The assignment is, at the core, an exercise in policy making: You are asked to prepare a policy document that will provide the following about the topic of your choice: the most important and relevant information, a summary of the significant research and scholarly writings about it, an outline of the substantial opinions and different views about it and finally your recommendations. In essence, this working paper could serve as a policy guide to a governmental or non-governmental entity, whether elected officials or institutions. IMPORTANT: You can use MLA, APA, or CMS style or any other academic style as long as you are consistent and clear.I provided the outline you did and the short draft of the document you wrote.
