- Conduct a SWOT analysis for your organization using the SWOT template available in Appendix 8.2. (Dunn 2021, pg. 235)
- Select one initiative that you feel could improve the quality of care.
- Identify the improvement and provide the associated data that supports your thoughts.
- Describe your analysis in a 2-page executive summary. It is not necessary for an executive summary to be in APA format. Use a format utilized in your organization or one found on the Internet. The executive summary should include but are not limited to the following categories:
- Title of the proposal or project
- Historical perspective
- Supporting data or evidence
- Presentation of the idea or proposal
- Advantage of the initiative
- Resources needed
- Responsible team members
- Timeline
- Measurement
- Next steps
- Create a 6-to-10 slide PowerPoint presentation of your SWOT Analysis.

Organizational Structure and Relationships
- Locate yourself on your organization’s organizational chart.
- Describe your reporting relationships and how your position in the organization relates to the vision and mission.
- Identify if your position is a line or staff position.
- Describe the strengths of the organizational structure as well as the opportunities.
- Determine your matrix reporting relationships and the way you interface with them.
- Analyze the informal relationships that you have and how the effective utilization of them are an advantage to you.
- Support your points with the concepts of organizational theory from this week’s readings.
- Write a 4-to-5 page paper in APA format with a minimum of three references. Include the copy of your organization’s chart with your position but omit any other names.
