Overview
The “Outlines and Mind Maps” assignment is basically a brainstorming and planning activity for the Media Deep Dive Research Essay.
For the assignment, I think we are supposed to organize our ideas before starting the essay by creating either:
- a mind map (visual brainstorming with connected ideas), or
- an outline (organized structure of the essay).
It seems like the purpose is to help us plan:
- our main argument/research question,
- important themes and ideas,
- sources and evidence we may use,
- and how the essay will be structured.
The activity is more of a preparation step for the final essay rather than a fully written assignment.
