A persuasive/argumentative Opinion Essay should be written in a succinct manner using the five (5) paragraph format. This method consists of (a) an introductory paragraph (b) three evidentiary body paragraphs that may include discussion of opposing views and (c) a conclusion. Choose one force of change of interest:
- Global Health Issues (VACCINATION POLICIES, Return of eradicated childhood diseases etc)
Then incorporate this information into the essay:
- Introductory Paragraph
- Define the force of change.
- Identify challenges related to the force of change on the current U.S health care delivery system.
- Body Paragraphs (3)
- Analyze how the force will positively and/or negatively affect the main elements needed for improvement of the U.S. health care delivery system (i.e. disease prevention, access to care, improved health outcomes, increased coordination and continuity of care, control of health care costs, increased collaboration among interdisciplinary team members).
- Discuss the actions the nursing profession should take to influence a positive change in the evolving U.S. health care system related to the force of change under discussion.
- Conclusion Paragraph
Support information within the essay with at least three (3) scholarly nursing journal articles and other resources.
