Overview
Use the Literature Review to write Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. For the Methodology, I would like to use a mixed-methods design. Quanitiatively, I plan to collect survey data from teachers and counselors, along with academic indicators such as grades, attendance, and bahaviorial records. This will allow me to identify patterns between types of cell phone use (academic, social, recreational) and measurable school outcomes. Qualitatively, I will conduct interviews with teachers and administrators to capture the lived experiences behind the numbers. This combination will help me understand not only whether cell phone use affects students, but how and why those effects occurs. Ultimately, my goal is to provide schools with evidence-based insights that move beyond simple "ban or allow" debates and instead illuminate how cell phones shape learning, relationships, and engagement in the middle-school years.
