Writing Question

EVERYTHING NEED TO BE 100 PERCENT HUMAN WRITTEN, PLEASE UPLOAD PLAGIARISM AND AI REPORT

PART A COMPLETE DISCUSSION

Instructions

Complete the following for this week's assignment.

  1. In the first two sections of your reflection application paper, you will write about your strengths and areas for improvement. Remember that while the Clifton Strengths Assessment provides a focus on strengths, it also highlights areas of challenge within those strengths that you must be mindful of to fully maximize the strength. Focus on those areas for needed improvement.
  2. You will then apply an AI application of your choice, and upload your report. Ask the AI to analyze your report, highlighting your strengths and weaknesses. Then ask AI to create a paragraph that summarizes your report for you to use on a resume. Include this paragraph in your paper and compare the AI report to your own survey of your report. Write a paragraph about how the AI makes you sound for your resume, do you like it, is it too much, or too little?
  3. Then take your strengths and consider how they might be helpful in leading and supporting the implementation of a digital transformation initiative, such as artificial intelligence, in the digitized workplace.
  4. In 2-3 pages, in an APA style paper (Title page, Body of Paper, References - No Abstract) reflect and consider how your results apply to your development as a digital leader by addressing the following:
    • What are your strengths?
    • What areas need improvement?
    • How might you leverage your unique strengths to lead and support implementing artificial intelligence initiatives in a digitized work environment?
    • Including your AI resume paragraph summarizes your report and your thoughts on it.
  5. Follow APA formatting guidelines: https://libguides.devry.edu/APA

PART B REPLY TO DISCUSSION

One important legal distinction is between criminal law and civil law. Criminal law addresses actions considered offenses against society, such as theft, assault, or fraud. In criminal cases, the government prosecutes the accused, and if the defendant is found guilty, the consequences may include fines, probation, or imprisonment. The goal of criminal law is to protect the public and punish unlawful behavior.

Civil law, on the other hand, focuses on disputes between individuals, businesses, or organizations. Common civil cases involve contracts, property disputes, negligence, or personal injury claims. Instead of determining guilt, civil courts decide whether one party is legally responsible for causing harm to another. If the plaintiff is successful, the court typically awards monetary damages or orders another form of legal remedy rather than imposing criminal penalties.

Understanding the difference between criminal and civil law is important because the same act can sometimes result in both types of cases. For example, someone who causes a car accident while driving under the influence may face criminal charges from the state and be sued in civil court by the injured party for damages. This distinction helps ensure that both public safety and individual rights are addressed through the legal system.

PART C REPLY TO DISCUSSION

One law category that I think is important for business professionals is public law versus private law. Public law governs the relationship between individuals or businesses and the government. It includes areas such as constitutional law, criminal law, and administrative law, where the government establishes and enforces rules that protect the public interest.

Private law, on the other hand, focuses on relationships between individuals or private organizations. It includes contract law, property law, and tort law. These laws help resolve disputes involving agreements, ownership rights, or damages without involving criminal prosecution.

Understanding the distinction between public and private law is important because businesses must comply with government regulations while also managing their contractual relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, and other organizations. A strong understanding of both areas helps organizations reduce legal risk, remain compliant, and make sound business decisions.

PART D

Choose a current article related to this week's material. Review and summarize the article, and then provide an analysis of the article applying the concepts related to this week’s material.

This assignment should be written in APA style and should include the following.

  1. Two pages in length (not including the title page and reference page)
  2. Double-spaced
  3. 12-point font

PART E

Choose a global (or large publicly traded) corporation and research a published article referencing a legal, ethical, or political issue that the corporation has been affected by, alleged of, or found responsible for based on the article.

PART F COMPLETE DISCUSSION

Many companies of all sizes are getting involved in international operations and/or sales. This globalization can result in a larger customer base, as well as significantly increased sales, especially if the domestic market is saturated.

  • What are some of the legal, political, and cultural risks to be considered when getting involved in globalization and when deciding the extent of this involvement?
  • Think about risks associated with local laws, regulations and licensing, import/export and shipping concerns, and other social considerations.

PART G REPLY TO DISCUSSION

Many companies of all sizes are expanding into international operations and/or sales. This globalization can result in a larger customer base and significantly increased sales, especially if the domestic market is saturated.

  • What are some of the legal, political, and cultural risks to consider when engaging in globalization and deciding the extent of this involvement?
  • Globalization offers revenue growth but exposes firms to distinct political, legal, and cultural risks that must be considered when determining the depth of market entry (Daniels et al., 2022). Politically, risks include expropriation, civil instability, currency repatriation controls, and corruption, with U.S. firms additionally liable under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Legally, weak intellectual property enforcement, rigid labor codes, cross-border data restrictions, and unreliable judicial systems threaten operational continuity. Culturally, misunderstandings arise from high- versus low-context communication, divergent consensus-based negotiation styles, varying consumer ethics and norms, and conflicting temporal orientations toward deadlines (Hofstede et al., 2010).To mitigate these, the extent of involvement follows a risk-calibrated hierarchy. Low-commitment options (exporting/licensing) preserve capital when political/legal risks are high. Moderate involvement (joint ventures) leverages local partners to navigate cultural and bureaucratic hurdles. Full ownership (wholly-owned subsidiaries) offers maximum control but is advisable only where intellectual property protection and legal transparency are robust (Peng & Meyer, 2019). Ultimately, firms should perform rigorous PESTLE analyses and pilot small-scale entries to learn local dynamics before escalating commitments. This adaptive approach ensures globalization generates growth without exposing the firm to existential liabilities.

PART H

The cases are assigned based on the first letter of your last name so that cases are distributed evenly. See the following table.

Each student will treat this as an individual assignment (you do not need to meet with your team). Your response should be well rounded and analytical and should not just provide a conclusion or an opinion without explaining the reason for the choice.

  1. The assignment should be submitted as a PowerPoint file and should include the following slides (some questions may take more than one slide).
    • Parties: Identify the plaintiff and the defendant.
    • Facts: Summarize only those facts critical to the outcome of the case.
    • Procedure: What was the outcome in the lower court(s)? Who brought the appeal?
    • Issue: Describe the central question or questions on which the case turns.
    • Explain the applicable law(s): Do some research on and explain the laws cited in the case.
    • Holding: How did the court resolve the issue(s)? Who won?
    • Reasoning: Explain the logic that supported the court’s decision. Why did the court come to the conclusion it did? What facts or laws affected the decision?
    • Legal research: Report something you have discovered about the case, parties, or other important elements of law from your own research.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the key aspects of the decision and your recommendations on the court’s ruling.
    • References: Use APA style for your citations and references.
  2. Research the case using the case citation in the DeVry Library under databases (select - HeinOnline), FindLaw.com, and other legal sources.
  3. Research the parties and circumstances of the case itself. The following cases can also be found in the textbook.
