Overview
For this discussion I want you to consider a simple, yet complex question. Should a supreme court justice approach the interpretation of the Constitution through an "originalist perspective" or through the perspective of the Constitution being a "Living Document"? I have uploaded several short videos to help you in thinking about this question, along with lecture slides and readings. The videos with Justices Scalia and Breyer are much fun to watch! To do well on this discussion, I would like to see that you include the arguments provided by both justices in your debate.
