USLO 2.1 Apply strategies to support digital literacy and technical skills. (CSLO 4)
Digital literacy is more than just knowing how to use technology, it’s about using it effectively, ethically, and efficiently.
What strategies have you used or learned to improve your digital literacy or technical skills (e.g., keyboard shortcuts, using cloud-based tools, learning new software, managing digital files)? Share an example where applying one of these strategies helped you complete a task more efficiently in your academic or professional life. What area of your digital skills would you like to improve, and what steps could you take to develop it?
USLO 2.2 Implement information literacy skills to identify, retrieve, and cite credible scholarly and professional sources. (CSLO 4)
In today’s digital world, there is a flood of information at our fingertips, but not all of it is credible.
Think of a time when you had to research a topic for a paper, project, or work-related task. How did you determine whether the sources you found were credible and scholarly? What specific strategies or tools (e.g., library databases, CRAAP test, citation managers) did you use to identify and evaluate your sources? Why is it important to rely on scholarly or professional sources rather than general websites or social media?
