Overview
This will be a short letter to me answering some questions and reflecting on the semester. This is your initial opportunity make an argument for your grade, using evidence, and communicate with me.
In your Process Paper, you should address the following:
- Overall Growth
- Looking back at your work from the beginning of the semester, how has your writing improved?
- Where do you see the clearest evidence of growth in synthesis, argumentation, or style?
- Which assignment or revision are you most proud of? Why?
- Feedback Loops
- How did you use feedback across the semester (instructor, peers, AI)?
- Which source of feedback was most valuable? Least valuable? Why?
- How did feedback shape your revisions in the Final Paper?
- Equity & Frameworks
- How does your Final Paper connect to the UN SDGs or CDC SDoH?
- How have you addressed equity, disparity, or systemic issues in your topic?
- What did you learn about approaching health issues through these frameworks?
- AI Reflection
- How did your use of AI evolve from the start of the semester to now?
- Did AI expand your thinking, challenge your assumptions, or simply provide structure?
- What lessons will you take about AI into future classes or professional contexts?
- Your Writing Identity
- How do you now see yourself as a writer, researcher, and communicator in the health sciences?
- What skills or habits will you carry forward beyond this course?
- Final Grade Justification
- Based on the ungrading system, what grade do you believe you’ve earned? A, B, C, D, F.
- Use evidence from your reflections, major assignments, revisions, and contributions (class, peer review, discussion boards) to support your case.
- Be honest, detailed, and persuasive.
