Overview

Can you write a nice reply to this,

Hello everyone! My name is Meaghan Dahna. I'm from Iowa but currently reside in South Dakota, and am enrolled in the accounting specialist program, as well as Business Administration. I live with my little family consisting of my fiancé and our one-year-old puppy, Hank (he's a Brittany). Some of my favorite hobbies currently are working out, gaming with my fiancé, and reading. I am very excited for this semester, and good luck to you all!

My own experience with payroll has been the "receiving checks to direct deposit" pipeline. At some of my first jobs back in high school, I would only receive paper checks that would have to be manually cashed at the bank. Now, after a couple of years, I've maybe gotten one starter check before every payday after was directly deposited into my bank account. I think this course will help highlight how much we've advanced payroll and continue to make it more efficient, as well as the importance of different forms of processing payroll.

Hi, my name is Lori Mitchell. I am a wife and mother to two adult children. Between my full-time buyer position and our small family farm, I stay pretty busy. My hobbies include horseback riding and reading. For some crazy reason, I finally decided to add part-time, online school at Southwestern Community College to the mix as well.

My short-term career goal is to obtain a piece of paper that supports the 20+ years of professional experience I have gained. I am pursuing my Small Business Accounting Certificate and have worked in several aspects of business, from administrative assistant to purchasing buyer to working in accounting. Although I have gained a lot of experience along the way, I have found that further growth can be difficult in the current workforce. I finished my Business Leadership Certification in July, and I will have my Small Business Accounting Certificate in December. My long-term aspiration is to become self-employed as a freelance small business accountant.

If there is one message I hope to convey to the group, it is to always keep learning and growing. No matter where we are in our careers or lives, there is always something new to learn and an opportunity to become better.
