Overview
For your Research Paper, you may select a topic related to a specific legal topic, for example, Exxon's legal and public relations responses to its Alaska oil spill, Wal-Mart's response to government or private litigation regarding gender pay equity, or the federal regulation of private drone operation.
Alternatively, your topic may focus on how a business or industry, or even another type of business "stakeholder," might seek to prompt a change in an existing law or regulation to enable the company or industry to benefit itself better and/or society and the economy in the future. Companies must plan to address many current and ongoing legal and regulatory initiatives in the business world.
