Overview
You are the sales manager at ABC, Inc. One of your sales reps, Larry London, has a sad story.
Larry recently went on a business trip from Kansas City to New York. Larry was there to meet with current and potential clients. Upon arriving in New York, Larry rented a car. He was very excited to go to New York for the first time, and he was glad he was able to get some prescription medicine to help him with his illness and anxiety.
Larry was at a convention happy hour meeting with clients and had a few drinks. After his meeting, he went to get his rental car from the hotel parking garage. Unbeknownst to him, Larry accidentally got into the wrong car. The car he entered was the same make, model, and color as his rental, and it was parked one row over from his rental.
Larry exited the parking garage, and his prescriptions and alcohol suddenly affected him. Larry had several minor driving incidents, such as hopping the curb and scraping parked vehicles. He was also lost, and he drove all over the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) trying to find a restaurant and his hotel room.
You need to report this incident to your boss. Discuss what civil and criminal issues Larry and ABC, Inc. may face due to this incident.
