- Why is attachment important?
- What are 2 or 3 things that you think influence attachment the most? (Hint: see the textbook for a description of factors.)
- What is your reaction to the “Strange Situation” as a research technique?
- If caregivers are supposed to be a “safe haven” and a “secure base” for children, how might children who do not have secure attachments think, behave, and/or feel as they grow and develop? Please give a specific example—this example can be real or fictional.
