Compare and contrast the theories of Intelligent Design and macroevolution (the belief that over billions of years, the diversity of life we observe today has evolved from a single-celled organism). Which realm of science would they both fall into (if at all)? Can either be “proven” (explain what you mean by “proven” as well)?
It seems every week Yahoo! has an article describing how scientists have discovered a new planet that is “Earth-like” and could possibly be habitable for life. Find an article from within the last year along these lines and list some of the claims they are making regarding its habitability. Given what you have learned about the conditions on Earth that are needed for life to exist, how believable are their claims?
You will be responsible for finding two web articles on climate change. For your first, use Google to find an article on the 2021 heatwave. For your second, visit the Cornwall Alliance website (https://cornwallalliance.org/) and find an article covering the same topic as you found doing an internet search. Summarize the key claims of both articles, paying special attention to where their conclusions differ.
