Science in Class Blog Post

For this blog post, choose a topic that has been covered in class (i.e. evolution, plate tectonics, phylogenetics, the transition from sea to land, etc.) and write and explanation of this topic for the average layperson. Assume your audience is unfamiliar with paleontology or geology. Your challenge is to still represent your topic accurately while explaining it in simple terms. Please write at least 600 words and make sure to cite any references or photos, although, all the information you need for this assignment can be found in the previous lecture material.
