Overview
Design a flowchart to illustrate the movement of macromolecules made in the cell. Also write a description of your flowchart. You will show and explain the detailed pathways for the following three macromolecules:
Steroid hormone (i.e., progesterone or testosterone)
Protein hormone (i.e., insulin)
- Intracellular proteins (i.e., cytoskeletal proteins)
- Your pathway illustration and explanation should explain in detail:
- where the macromolecule is created.
the specific route of the macromolecule – from beginning to end – within the cell.
the ultimate fate of each of these three molecules.
- It is a requirement to use two additional reliable and credible sources in addition to what is presented in the class, the Module 4 AA directions, and required readings. (One additional resource must be a primary source and the other can be a primary or secondary source. See the description of source types linked below.) All information used from sources used must be cited per APA – UNE Library APA Style Guide linked below. ** If no additional sources are used to supplement your responses, it is an automatic ‘0’.**

- APA Style Guide
- The flowchart should start with the synthesis of the macromolecule at the ribosome/OR organelle. Your flowchart and description must include the following terms: Ribosome, rough ER, smooth ER, Golgi apparatus, transport vesicles, secretory vesicles, cell membrane.
