Overview
1. There are 3 different types of fermentation. Lactic Acid, Ethanol/alcohol and Acetic acid. Take some time to reflect about why understanding how fermentation works affects our everyday lives. Consider food preservation, respiratory diseases, exercise physiology, industry, your chosen career field.
2. Write an analogy of how aerobic cellular respiration works, or draw it out with labels and explain it. Try to connect the analogy to the locations, byproducts, reactants, and energy output of aerobic cellular respiration. Guidelines for Response post:
Comment on the 3 posts that I attached under. Those 3 writings belongs to 3 different people, so they are not connected the each other, answer them separately. 7 or more sentences. You may respond to the ideas on fermentation or add ideas to another student's analogy for cellular respiration. You may also respond to other student's comments on your own analogy for cellular respiration. Keep it professional and kind, but use this as a time to work out how exactly a cell takes food molecules and makes it into ATP. You can also extend an analogy to describe what happens to the waste products (like how the body removes waste carbon dioxide), or how a toxin might affect cellular respiration (such as cyanide, or carbon monoxide) and relate it to one of the analogies in the discussion.
