Guidlines
Meiosis leads to the formation of gametes that will be used to pass genes on to offspring. Explain how the events of meiosis lead to how genes are passed on to the offspring from the parents. Use the terms or ideas of haploid, diploid, synapsis, independent assortment, homologous chromosomes, paternal chromosome, maternal chromosome, allele, dominant, recessive, law of segregation, gamete, fertilization, mitosis, and complete dominance (as opposed to incomplete dominance). You may choose your own scenario to apply it to or use Mendel’s pea data with white flowers and purple flowers to make it easier to understand and apply.
