Overview
you will create a PowerPoint presentation on any one topic of your choice from the chapters I will provide you
The goal of this presentation: Teach others about this topic!
Instructions:
1.) Your choice of topic must have to do with a topic that is mentioned in any of the textbook chapters. For example, it can be a general topic, such as the field of paleoanthropology, or a more specific topic, such as Lucy the Australopithecine.
2.) Your research for this topic will consist of ONLY the following three sources:
-Explorations textbookLinks to an external site.
-WikipediaLinks to an external site.
-Science Daily websiteLinks to an external site.
3.) Once you have decided on your topic, dive into your research!
- Go to the Science Daily website and search for articles about it using the search bar (with the magnifying glass).
- You will need ten articles total for this presentation.
- The articles that you use must be from January 2023 or later.
- After reading about your topic on Science Daily, go to Wikipedia to research further about it.
- As long as your topic is from the textbook and can be found on Science Daily and Wikipedia, I do not need to approve it.
4.) Based on what you read about your topic in the textbook, on Science Daily, and on Wikipedia, create a PowerPoint presentation summarizing your research on the topic:
- The first slide should state your topic.
- Then, create one slide for each article from Science Daily, one slide for your Wikipedia research, and one slide for a summary of the textbook content on your topic
- At minimum, each of these slides needs to contain:
1.) The title and author of the article, if available;
2.) A summary of the research findings in your own words;
3.) The web link for the article. - Beyond these requirements, feel free to get creative with how you will get your classmates interested in the subject and learning from the presentation. Will you include fun or artistic visuals? Will you include a link to a YouTube video on the topic? Will you talk about your own personal experience with, or interest in, the subject?
- You do not need to include a Works Cited list
- You do not need to embed any vocal narration in your presentation.
