CRISPR-Cas techniques in plants or animals or humans

Overview

CRISPR-Cas techniques in plants or animals or humans

With the advent of Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR) and CRISPR- associated protein (Cas) mediated genome editing, the molecular and functional mechanism of the gene has progressed significantly in recent years. In this genome editing tool, CRISPR-associated Cas nucleases are restricted to their target of DNA by their preferred protospacer adjacent motifs (PAMs). A number of CRISPR-Cas variants have been developed e.g. CRISPR-Cas9, -Cas12a, and -Cas12b, with different PAM requirements. CRISPR technology is widely applied in different areas such as plant improvement and knock-out DNA in research mice and rats, silenced and the defective gene for human disease is knocked in. The writing assignment discusses the main application of CRISPR-Cas and the significance of such an application useful in the research area.

Following the guidelines for writing the mini-review assignment.

A. Each student should select FIVE scientific papers research/review on the specific topics of CRISPR-Cas techniques in plants or animals or humans.

B. You will find FIVE papers as an examples which may help you. (Bhowmik et al., 2021; Cardi et al., 2023; Deng et al., 2022; Galli et al., 2022; Geisslitz et al., 2022; Khan et al., 2022; Naik et al., 2022; Riaz et al., 2022; Zaidi et al., 2020)

C. Then use the selected papers to write EIGHT to TEN -word pages (without cover page and references) with figures and tables it can be up to TWELEV pages (maximum 1 table and 1 figure).

D. Should use Times New Roman (font type) and 12 (font size) with 1.5 space.

E. The writing assignment should provide a concise summary of a specific research topic or field relevant to CRISPR-Cas techniques. Explain the previous research and findings in context and present current developments in a critical and focused manner.

F. The topic of the application of CRISPR-Cas techniques is preferred.

G. The mini-review should be written based on the provided formatting and scientifically, i.e.
