Overview
This is your first homework assignment. You will use the information you learned this week about hypotheses, specific predictions, observational vs. experimental studies and good experimental design to answer a series of questions in the attached document. Make sure to watch the lecture videos before doing the assignment. You can do this assignment based on the information in the lecture videos so there is no issue if you do not yet have the textbook.
Recall that all answers in this assignment need to be your own, in your own words.
This homework is worth 25 points and is due by midnight on Sunday, January 26. It can be turned in late for partial credit.
You have two options for submitting your assignment:
1) Text entry - type or paste your assignment directly into the box provided - not usually recommended
2) Upload a pdf file of your assignment, a Microsoft Word document, of a jpg file. Regardless of what word processing program you use, you should be able to save your file as a pdf. A pdf file works best for preserving the formatting of a document.
NOTE: you must choose one option; the software will not let you do both text entry and a file submission.
