Use the template from the Cell Cycle Simulations form from lecture on 11/12/25 (click here for the link)Links to an external site.
Important: To be able to type into the document, you will need to make a copy to save to your B-CU Google Drive. The pathway is: click the link--> go to "File" at the top left--> select "Make a Copy". This will save a copy to your Google Drive that you will be able to type into as an editor.
For the questions that ask for a graph, you have 3 options (#3 looks the most efficient)
1) Draw a graph by hand, take a photo of it, and insert the photo into the assignment file.
2) Use the "Make a chart" function in Google Docs. Pathway: "Insert" at top left of the template--> Chart--> insert chart with data from Google Sheets (I will make a tutorial on this)
3) Use the Draw function in Google Docs. Pathway: "Insert" at top left of the template in Google Docs --> Drawing --> select "+ New". A small box will open up with a toolbar that you can use to draw a graph.
Other important information:
Write a hypothesis on the treatment variable you choose. Use the "if...then" format and make a specific prediction about what will happen. Ex: If the onion root tip cells are placed in lectin, then the number of cells in interphase will increase." "If the onion root tip cells are placed in low water, then the number of cells in mitosis will decrease."
