- Write a report that covers the following parts. Each of these should have their own heading:
- Background - what is the topic? Describe it.
- Relevance - how does this topic relate to something we learned in class: READ BELOW FOR INFO
- Importance - why should we care about this topic?
- Works cited - it doesn't matter which format you use (MLA, APA, or Chicago), but you must cite your resources.
- The report should be 3-5 pages, double spaced, size 12 font, one inch margins.
- The report needs to be in PDF format
- Make sure the background is thoroughly explained
- For the RELEVANCE section, this is what we learned to relate it to:
- Animals: Corals are living, multicellular animals made up of thousands of tiny individuals called polyps.
- Cnidarians: Corals are related to jellyfish and sea anemones and are classified in the phylum Cnidaria.
- Polyps: Each polyp has a mouth, a stomach, and tentacles with stinging cells called nematocysts to capture food.
- Symbiosis: Corals have a vital symbiotic relationship with microscopic algae
