Overview
This report is an analysis of a company Balance Sheet.
You will need to select a company from the hospitality sector to analyse. The company should be listed on the Stock Exchange and the financial reports accessible via the company's website.
The report should include:
a) A brief introduction to the company. (100 words)
b) Explain the concept of equity, and discuss the components of equity for your chosen company explaining the impact for the business. (150 words)
c) Explain the concept of debt, and discuss what, if any debt is being used by your chosen company explaining the impact for the business. (150 words)
d) Review the company Balance Sheet and comment on the book value of the assets in the business and how these have been funded. compare the book value to the market capitalisation. Use any ratios you feel will add value to your analysis. (600 words)
This report should be submitted no later than 28th November 2025 (23:59 Swiss Time) in the form of an academic report (using a scientific approach and structured with headings). Remember to fully reference the paper using APA(7th ed.)-style referencing.
