Mexican Beer Sampling
For this assignment, you will analyze responses found on the Mexican Beer Sampling dataset. Using this data, run the necessary regression analysis (similar to our class example) and answer the following questions based on your interpretation of the output.
- Describe the general model characteristics (p-values, R^2, coefficients). What does this suggest about the respondents’ preferences in a beer?
- Give the full and final model based on your regression analysis. Which coefficients have the biggest impact on beer preference?
- Based on your final model, which of the following beers would be most preferred by customers
- Amber, Low Intensity Aroma, Medium alcohol content, low bitterness, high foam, $30-$39
- Pale color, intense aromas, medium alcohol content, low bitterness, low foam, $40-$49
- Very dark color, intense aromas, medium alcohol content, intense bitterness, low foam, $40-$49
- If you were in charge of the brewery’s product development, how might you use this data to segment your customer base? How might this influence which beers you made? Note: You can brew as many types as you like.
You are free to answer all the questions in either Excel or Word, whichever you prefer (if excel, please answer in a separate tab).
