Business Law, Ethics, and Social Responsibility

According to The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), whistleblowing is defined as an agent of the company (e.g., employee) who reports an activity considered to be illegal. When a person becomes a whistleblower, certain safeguards are implemented for protection: confidentiality and retaliation. Unfortunately, in some cases, confidentiality is not always guaranteed due to the nature of the offense.

Based on the information above, research a current (2019-2024) whistleblower case. In a 1-page analysis, share the background of the opportunity and if in the employees’ shoes, would you also be a whistleblower. Why or why not?
