Background
In your readings for this week, you discovered that many business systems exist in various forms, depending on an organization's goals. You also examined how organizations adapt to modernizing business environments and the challenges of being innovative in both individual and corporate contexts.
Some systems are designed for risk management, while others focus on continuity and include processes or procedures. To understand a business’s systems, analysts must use a framework to examine them. Various framework tools were introduced in the lesson. For example, SWOT analysis is one such framework tool.
For this assignment, you will choose an organization that you see as agile, adaptive, and capable of sustaining and evolving in the 21st century. You will conduct a case study on the organization and explore the various business systems that have contributed to its success. Select one of the framework tools mentioned in the lesson—or another tool you’ve learned about through previous readings or your own research—that you feel is most appropriate for the industry you are examining. The company you select can be a grocery store, a restaurant, or a large organization like Amazon. While conducting this study, consider yourself in charge of ensuring these systems function properly and have the flexibility to adapt to possible changes in the business environment.
