Assignment Overview
For Homework 3, you will work to address one of the business questions posed by Dartmouth Health regarding the Battle of the Badges event.
You will:
- Use all three years of data (2023–2025).
- Select the appropriate analytical tool (PivotTable or graph).
- Construct a single visualization or structured summary.
- Provide a concise written explanation grounded in your output.
This assignment simulates real-world analytics work, where teams collaborate to analyze data and communicate insights.
Business Question: What trends exist with the amount donated to a player?
Select the Appropriate Analytical Tool
Your group must choose either:
- A PivotTable
OR - A single appropriate graph.
The tool you choose must match the variable types involved.
Examples:
- Comparing categories → Bar/Column chart.
- Showing change over time → Line chart.

- Structured grouped summary → PivotTable.
Your group must justify why the chosen tool is appropriate.

Your explanation must:
- Clearly state why your chosen tool fits the variable types involved.
- Reference specific patterns visible in your output.
- Explain how your output directly addresses your assigned business question.
- Avoid unsupported assumptions.
- Avoid generic explanations unrelated to your actual chart or PivotTable.
