Overview
This week’s Assignment will provide a platform for exploring the concepts related to social determinants of health and the role of disruptive technology. You will delve into a case study from the Social Determinants of Health at Boston Medical Center resource. Through this Assignment, you will have the opportunity to write about personal experiences and examples of the social determinants of health.

To prepare for this Assignment
- Review the Learning Resources, the Walden Library, and the Internet for information on social determinants of health and consider the following questions:
- What are the social determinants of health (SDOH)?
- Search for examples of SDOH.
- From the “Social Determinants of Health at Boston Medical Center” case study, how did Boston Medical Center create business value while implementing SDOH?
- What are the social determinants of health (SDOH)?
- Search for and select at least two disruptive technologies that Alastair Bell could use to address the SDOH presented in the case study.
- Reminder: You can use the Case Study Analysis Template to make notes about the case.
Submit a 2- to 4-page analysis in which you:
- Explain how aspects of the social determinants of health are impacted by technology and provide examples from a business context.
- Describe the potential social determinants of health that Alastair Bell could address through a disruptive technology.
- Explain how Boston Medical Center may use disruptive technology to address the social determinants of health in the case study while maintaining an effective business model.
