Most of us know someone how has retired – a parent, grandparent, friend, or mentor. In this discussion, reflect on the real-life retirement experience of someone you know. Do not share actual names or identifying details.
In your thread, briefly tell their story and consider the following questions:
- Was this person financially prepared for retirement? If not, what could they have done differently to be better prepared? If so, what financial decisions or habits contributed to their successful preparation?
- How did this person navigate the emotional, psychological, and spiritual transition into retirement? What contributed to a positive or negative experience?
