Overview
The ability to analyze business performance by evaluating financial statements is at the heart of
Financial Accounting. You are tasked with evaluating a business using this information along
with news or investing sites, to make an educated decision about the future of your chosen
company. You may use any source you like to find relevant information to your company.
The official Sec website will have all the filings you need https://www.sec.gov/search-
filings/edgar-search-assistance, however; it is not a very user-friendly experience. Yahoo
Finance and Investopedia https://www.investopedia.com/ will have notable news and some of
the KPI’s you are looking for, but a lot of information is hidden behind a pay wall. Google
searches will generally get you the information you need, finding the free version. Please make
sure the information is accurate, CHATGPT will not give you current KPI’s, DO NOT use AI for
research. AI will result in incorrect KPI’s and you will lose points.
