Business Question

Assignment. Disneyland and Pricing

Disneyland charges a flat fee for admission to the park. That fee gets you unlimited access to rides, parades, and other attractions. There are a number of factors driving the price Disney chooses. To find current pricing, go to www.disneyland.com. Then, write a paper answering the following questions.

Assignment Questions

• Do you think this is too high? If so, how much would the price need to drop before you’d consider it “fair”?

• If you believe the price is too high, you probably also believe you have better alternatives for a day of fun. What are some of those alternatives?

• If you don’t think the price is too high, how much could it increase before you would believe it is too high?

• Disney invests millions of dollars to create a new attraction and billions of dollars to make major updates. How does the addition of a new ride or land affect your perception of the value you get from a ticket to Disneyland?

• Do you think Disney’s flat-fee pricing is the best strategy to use? Why or why not?

• Instead of charging a flat fee, what other pricing strategies might Disney use?
