Strategic management takes the view of the CEO or general manager and addresses the question of why some firms outperform others. It also takes the view of a consultant, advising the CEO or general manager on the assessment of the firm and recommendations of next steps to compete against firms.
You have been hired from one of the Big 4 Consulting firms and one of your first consults is within a Non-Profit organization to assess their Strategic Management Program. Choose one of these three organizations to perform the final simulation on.

Your direct request is to perform a Strategic Management Assessment, Review, and Recommendations. Background: You are a consultant for a Big 4 Firm. There is no word limit, page limit, or communication medium (e.g not bound by MS Word, PowerPoint, etc.). All of the data needed for this level of analysis (in this simulation and in real life) is obtainable from public sources for non-profits. They are required to disclose all financials, strategic plans, etc with the public per their 501c3 status – no true need to contact anyone from the company for information – it should be all publicly available. Herein lies the catch, if you are struggling to find key strategic information on a company from the outside (which by law, all material should be presented and available to the public), imagine how difficult it must be to be an employee of one of these companies, internally, to understand the strategic direction of that firm. Be creative and truly attempt to simulate a consultation and what you would like to represent yourself to the client. While there is a grade for this paper, there is no grade in life. Attempt to simulate what it would be like when presenting to the CEO, Presidents, or Governor of Arizona.
