Overview: You’re a consultant who has been contacted by Company X to perform an assessment of Company X’s culture. You will perform an evaluation of the company’s organizational culture using the Cultural Assessment Data and provide recommendations that the leadership at Company X can act on. Coaches Tips:
- Cover page: the very first page should only have the title and your name.
- Headings: organize your essay using headings you’ve pulled from the bullet points - this keeps YOU organized by addressing ALL questions, and makes it easier for reviewers to read.
- Evaluation:
- Describe Company X’s culture in detail: Be sure to link what you’re saying about Company X’s culture right back to those survey results. For example, for the shared values / beliefs question, I would talk about the statements on page 2 of the survey results, and discuss 1-2 of those as beliefs / values.
- Culture and subcultures: Read the resource Principles of Management, Chapter 8.2 (starting page 382) and discuss 1-2 of the different kinds of organizational cultures and subcultures in your paper.
- Strengths and weaknesses: Think, which things on that survey score high / low on the survey?
- Recommendations: Use resource #3 and #4 in the Helpful Resources above.
- Make sure you have a full reference page at the end + in-text citations throughout your essay.
