Overview
a) Factor : 2 x^2 - 18 = [Notations: x^2 = x* x; 2^3 = 2* 2* 2 = 8]
b) At x = 1, evaluate: 5/(x- 1), Discuss your answer.
c) Find the input x that would cause a denominator of the following expressions to equal 0, and must be excluded.
i) 5/(x+1), ii) 4/[(x-1)(x+1)]
d) Solve (x/2) – (12/x) = 1
