Overview
The IR spectrum of Compound C shows a strong absorption at 1701 cm-1. The 1H-NMR spectrum of Compound C of molecular formula C7H8O shows three four signals – ? 2.14 (s, 3H), 3.79 (t, 1H), 5.88 (dd, 2H) and 6.59 (dd, 2H). Its 13C-NMR spectrum has five signals – 30, 41, 124, 130, and 210 ppm.
