Overview
You are required to write a report of no more than 2000 words on the following case ( Please see attached pdf for case study) Brief overview of o case study: Transition metal nitrides show a wide variety of properties and a range of applications. Among them, copper nitride (Cu3N) as an excellent semiconductor with its small indirect band gap has attracted considerable attention as a material for optical information storage devices and highspeed integrated circuits, based on its unique properties, such as low thermal decomposition temperature, excellent electrical properties, and optical qualities. Cu3N thin films display the typical trans or anti-rhenium trioxide-type cubic structure in which Cu atoms occupy slightly disordered closely packed sites on the (111) lattice planes.
