Overview
In this assignment, the students will employ published research related topics of the course to achieve course objectives including reading and analysing critically current primary literature.
The students are provided with a list of journal papers related to the course topics, from which one paper to be selected. Each should prepare a written report about the selected article. The report should include the following:
1.Title of the paper, names of the authors, name of the journal, volume, issue number, and pages, date of publications, and the impact factor of the journal.
2.Introduction part
a.Background: importance and implication of the paper.
b.Problem: why the research was initiated.
c.A list of the major findings.
3.Results:
a.Brief description of the major experimental techniques/analytical instrumentations applied and how they are used.
b.Results interpretation: summary of the results and what conclusions can be drawn from the results.
4.Critical evaluation of the paper: here you need to provide your opinion on the paper by listing the scientific limitations or weakness of the work, suggesting improvements, and providing your overall opinion about the paper.
