American and Metric Systems
Many of us are familiar with the American system of measurement rather than the metric system. Visit Standard UnitLinks to an external site. and understand how the seven different metric measurements are important in science, particularly chemistry.
Do you think using the metric system could be advantageous for the types of measurements and calculations used in health-care field, engineering, or science? If so, how? If not, why not?
Respond to at least two other discussion posts by adding other examples of the use of American and metric units. Refer to the text and past experiences as you provide evidence to support your response and the responses to your peers.
