Introduction
Pharmacology courses help students gain knowledge of the two main areas of pharmacology: pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. Pharmacodynamics studies the effects of a drug on biological systems, and pharmacokinetics discusses the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of these systems.
On this signature assignment, the student will select a medication covered during class (Propofol) , find an article related to this medication, and review the article using the attached rubric. A description of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics needs to be included.
