Overview
Laboratory Objectives: Upon completion of this laboratory, students will be able to:
- Formulate a hypothesis that can be tested empirically, i.e., based on observation
- Determine the effects of acid rain on common house plants
- Apply key principles of the scientific method in designing an experiment to answer a question.
- Discuss the impacts of acid rain on the environment.
1. Open the Atmospheric Impacts Lab(opens in a new tab) and follow directions carefully. Be sure to read the lab in its entirety and have all supplies and equipment ready prior to beginning the activities. This lab will take four weeks to complete, so be certain to begin in Week 2. Answer written questions for the lab in Atmospheric Impacts Lab Quiz 1.
