Topic Selection
Important, read fully before starting to avoid confusion.
In order to help you to prepare for the group project due in week 7, you will be using this discussion to ensure you have a topic for the presentation, create an outline, and practice citing an image. Before starting, it is important that you read over the final project description, rubric, and resources here.
This week, you will communicate with your group to choose a topic and assign roles on a simple outline (see embedded document) by, 11:59 pm MT on Wednesday. You will also begin to prepare content for your slides. Each student will submit one picture or figure they will use for their portion of the project. The reference must also be included. This is due by 11:59 pm MT on Sunday. Your instructor might have additional requirements.
- Post 1: (due by Wednesday) To begin the content, first work with your group to choose a topic or discuss the topic your professor has assigned. Next, your group will develop an outline and assign roles. Each student will post the simple outline containing their assigned role.
- Post 2: (due by Sunday) Finally, you will develop content, including a relevant image or picture, for one of your slides. Post your picture/figure with reference directly in the discussion thread.
The document here will give you the templates you need to post.
Deliverables
- A topic selected with a simple outline of the topic is completed, and each member has been assigned a role. Each member of the group posts a copy.
- Each member has provided a picture/figure with reference. Each member of the group posts their unique contribution.

NOTE: All group members must have a speaking role in the final presentation, and everyone must develop their own slide content and speaking script.

Slides are not due until Week 7. This week’s assignment is simply preparation and agreement on who is doing what part of the assignment.
Participation in both topic selection and outline creation is mandatory.
