Organic synthesis is concerned with the design and construction of organic compounds. These compounds might be new pharmaceuticals, coatings, cleaning products, perfumes, or polymers. To be useful, these methods need to give high yields and meet industrial standards of safety and purity.
Choose one of the compounds listed on the assignment handout and propose a short synthesis for your chosen compound. Be sure to follow the four rules listed on the assignment.
