Overview
At the end of the course, students will write a short reflective essay (3–5 pages) discussing their knowledge of American history before the class, what they learned during the course, how their thinking has changed as a result of taking the course and what lessons they can apply to their lives. *Some of the topics that were covered in this class: 1950s, Slavery, World War II, Cold War, the Progressive Era, Civil Rights Movements, and the discrimination against Black Americans.
