Revised Travel Writing Sample
Carefully read the feedback you received on your first draft. Incorporate all of the editing suggestions, and adjust or add to the content as indicated. Your story must be at least 750 words long; you can write more if you choose! Keep in mind that this is a writing sample you could show a potential employer one day, or you might post it on a personal blog.
For your revised story, use Arial or Times Roman 12 point and one-inch margins all around. Use single spacing, with a line space between paragraphs. Not sure how to create one-inch margins on your Word document? In the menu bar at the top of your page in Word, click on Page Layout. Look for the “Margins” icon, and click on that. A selection of margin settings will pop up. Choose “Normal” which will automatically set your margins at 2.54 cm at the right, left, top and bottom.
All written assignments produced for this class (with the exception of the Print Ad and Brochure for your Media Kit) must be formatted with one-inch margins all around using 12 point Arial or Times Roman type. Marks will be deducted if these formatting rules are not followed.
