Analyze Email
I hear that students get a lot of student emails. In this assignment you will analyze one of those emails. Pick an email that you've received from someone that is employed at MGA. It can be from an individual or from an office email account. The email you are analyzing must have at least four sentences.
In memo format addressed to me (your instructor Elizabeth Riley) , include the following: Paragraph 1 - Describe the message of the email. What is the point? What is the topic? Describe the audience. Don't say 'students'. Be more specific. What students? Older or younger? On-campus students or commuters? Is it addressing students in certain situations or who have certain characteristics?
Paragraph 2 - Analyze the email. Does the message match the audience? Is the message concise? Is it redundant? Does it contain more information than is necessary? Are there grammar or spelling errors? What approach does it use; direct or indirect? How do you know that it's direct or indirect?
On the second page include the message. I want to see the body of the message, who it came from, and who it was addressed to. You can use a screenshot or copy and paste, just make sure I can read it.
