Overview
This week, you must research and find one case in Nexis Uni (not the internet) from your state which discusses adverse possession. Next, write a post which includes:
- a summary of the case opinion (not an article) and don't forget to include the full citation;
- the case's legal definition of adverse possession in your state (the rule of law);
- the steps necessary to gain adverse possession (be clear and include all of them); and
- any defenses a property owner has to someone claiming adverse possession.
Please be sure to cite to your state's statute, particularly if mentioned in the case by the court. Then, reply to at least three classmates.
