Overview
For this paper, you will focus on an interpersonal concept covered in class and a relationship from a television show or movie of your choice. Once you’ve chosen your topic and relationship example, you will complete a 2-4 page paper that will explain the theory and its components, and how the components of that theory can be applied to the chosen relationship. You must have a clear argument that includes at least three examples of how the concept can be seen in the relationship with evidence from the tv show or movie. You can focus on character explication (i.e. if a character has anxiety you can explain how that person’s anxious personality can be applied to how they reduce uncertainty in relationships), a character’s relationship with another character, or both. This paper will be worth 100 points, five of which are earned by turning in this rubric with your paper.
