Hi there, so this is a Communication and Technology Culture class. You will need to write an Essay based on the technology I have chosen and in this case it will be " The Microphone". I have done the presentation part and presented it but now you will need to write an essay based on it. choose a communication technology and write an essay examining (1) how sociocultural values are inscribed in it (designer assumptions, affordances, how race and gender are embedded into it, etc.), and (2) proposing how the technology can be redesigned to be more inclusive. Consider what new norms the technology might embed. Your essay should be between 2500 and 3000 words, excluding references. You must draw on course materials in your analysis and have at least 5 academic references (2 should be course readings).
